Default another no spark thread

ive searched through millions of posts, but havent found anything....heres the story

got my new motor in the car and running, drove around for awhile making sure everything is good. and it is, so i go home and park it. next morning i get ready to go to work, car wont start, just turns over. switch the plate back to the bimmer, and go to work. that night i find no spark. so i take the guts from a oem dizzy and put them into the dist. king dizzy i was useing. car fired right up, souned perfect, gave it some gas, and then it died. wont restart. no spark. so, i buy a msd billet dizzy with the external coil and driver, and wires. hook it up, and nothing happens. it just turns over. no spark.
i checked all my grounds, checked all my fuses, checked everything.
this sucks.
i am getting ready to go borrow a voltometer and start checking stuff.
any other suggestions?

useing a voltometer i checked random things. shown in the pick is all the places i found 12v. one thing i found strange is that there was 12v on the + & - side of the coil. is this right?

try swaping out the EMS for a stock ECU and see if it runs.

the AEM EMS has been known to cause some funky starting issues sometimes...

If there's 12V on theneg side of the coil. The coil is shot. They're (brand name here) known for doing it unfortunately.

talked to an msd tech. you are suppose to have 12v on both terminals of the coil. other than that they were useless.
