ok for about 3 months now i've had no working power windows which sucks because it's hot as hell down here now. they'll only work if i have the acc fuse in in the underhood fuse box, but at that point the car wont start. so the only way to open and close the windows and moonroof is to have the fuse in, turn the car on then open or close them, take the fuse out, then start the car. as you can tell doing this constantly is getting on my nerves. along with this there's an annoying *** clicking sound coming from the underdash fuse panel. i initially thought it was a bad power window relay, i took that out but the clicking continues. here's a clip:

the clicking starts getting faster when im driving and comes and goes. with the key in the ignition it will click for about 10 seconds, stop for 5 seconds, then start up again.

That is definetly a relay making that clicking sound. It sounds like an alarm relay to me. For instance if I unplug my amarm siren you can countinuously here that same clicking sound you are hearing.
lol, i just had the same thing. took the damn alarm out & in the trahs it went. didnt do it all the time & it was hard to hear. problem fixed

yea there's wiring for the alarm right next to the fuse box. it's a real bitch to get to but i'll check it out tomorrow. if it does turn out to be an alarm relay can i just rip it all out?
the thing is this only started happening after i replaced the battery. it ran fine before then.

thats exactly what it is then. When you replaced the battery it reset the alarm. Do you have the key to the alarm? if not there should be a toggle switch to disable the alarm. I am 200% certain that its your alarm

success!!
so i got under there today and took a closer look. first pulled out the fuses for the alarm and that seemed to do the trick. the windows and dome light are working again. after driving for a few minutes i noticed the clicking was still going. so i got back under there and found the box the alarm, it was in a real tight spot but i managed to grab the connectors to it and unplugged it. no more clicking!
thanks for the help

My friend spends at least three days a week removing aftermarket alarms. His first question to any problem is does it have an alarm. He has boxes of alarms and wiring. It's almost like boxes of trophies. There must be two thousand scotch-locks in those boxes.
