Alternator Problems
Over the past two years, i have had three alternators and they continue to die on me. What could be the source of a problem like this?
Ask if you need more info, im not sure what all you need to know

Bad battery. Bad grounds.
If you have a short (only active when the key is in the "on" position) it could also do it.
What I can think of is if it is being worked to the max continuously it will kill it. If you have a friend/co worker/ family member that has a amp meter that looks like the one bellow, see if you can borrow it and use it. If you amp meter is having to give out it's maximum amp rating when your rpms are higher than idle (3000 or something, not to sure) you probalby have another issue.

(the loop opens and you put it around one of the leads)
It could also be that you are buying crappy amps, have you been using the same supplier? Rebuilts maybe?
Just giving out a few ideas, not sure myself.
Cheers.
