Default Are all map sensors created equal?

Alright I need a new map sensor and I was going to look around the parts houses but are they engine specific or obd specific?

they are all the same from 88-on

to have a similar one to yours get one from a 92-95 civic or 94-01 integra

what does the map sensor do again and are they a wear item(do they need replacemant after a certain amount of time)?

measue the absoulte pressure going pass the throttle body, and almost everything is a wear item, but you should only change it if there is a code.
