Are all the Final drives the same???
Are all the final drives the same when you compare how strong they are or the ease of installation?I heard that you need Countershaft 1st gear, needle bearings, and distance collar to install an ATS final drive. But what about SRR,the jdm R and whoeve else makes a FD.Also are they all equally strong?Im gonna put it into a gsr tranny and its for an all motor street/strip car.Im hoping to get over 215whp and if money allows run some 22" slicks.
Cusco fd- people have said they are not as strong as other fd's, but who knows, there havent been many users here and not much proof of failures. I think this drops into JDM ITR trannies with no extra parts, similar to JDM and ATS fd's.
SRR fd- new on the market, not much heard about this yet.... Sounds like it too is for JDM ITR trannies, but they have a B16 version as well. There have been a few threads in the ITR forum with good info, did ya search around?
ATS fd- Looks to be the boss of the bunch, good service from ATS / Racing Craft and the users here seem to be nothing but impressed with the results.
