alignment question
The alignment on my car is a bit off.. it shakes n all. I am going to bring it to the shop to get the alignment fixed. I heard that when u lower your car.. u're going to need to fix the alignment as well. My eibach sportlines are coming, but i would really like to get my alignment fixed. I was thinkin if i fix it now, will i have to fix it again after i lower the car?.. or should i wait for my springs then fix the alignment? Thanks.
might want to check to see if your rims have come out of balance a weight could have fallen off. also check your tie rod ends they could have gone to. weight till you put the springs on to get an alignment done.
Generally the aignment does not make the car shake. Ball joints, tierod ends, out of round tires, bent rims, etc. If you plan to lower your car, wait to get it aligned and be prepared for the camber to be out of spec due to the lowering. If you lower a lot you need a camber kit

Changing the ride height will change the toe setting as well as the camber, so yes you will need an alignment after you lower the car. If you set the toe to exact factory specs, then you will probably not need a camber kit.
I have nearly a 3" drop (damn H&R springs) w/ -2.3 deg. camber in front, and I got 25K miles (after lowering) out of my last tires w/o camber kit.

If you alignment is off by far enough, it can cause shaking at high speeds (60mph+). You will need an alignment after you put the new springs on, as your toe will be severely off. Just wait until you get your springs installed to get an alignment, or be prepared to spend another $60. You could also buy a lifetime alignment and not have to worry about paying again, as after the first 2 alignments it's payed for itself.
