Does anyone know if a hammer drill (in hammer mode, not drill mode) would provide a suitable substitute for an air hammer? Recently, I could not remove a stuck axle but a mechanic successfully did it using an air hammer. I was thinking about buying a hammer drill anyway and don't want to spend extra $$ for a redundant air hammer tool for next time.
