Default air/fuel ratio setup

i don't know what's the problem. i hook up the red wire to the ignition, then the black to ground, and then the purple one to the ecu pin d14. yet, the meter does not read the freakin' ratio when i start my car. first, before i even connect the purple wire, the meter is on, it's on the rich side. once i connect the purple wire, it goes blank. and there's nothing. is this due to a faulty gauge, or is it something else?

'92 civic vx with spoon b18c. boost coming soon.

Did you let it warm up for a few minutes? Wire should be a white (or white/red) wire at pin D14.

the color that i have is orange with a blue stripe. i'll double check on that just to make sure. but that's the color where d14 is supposed to be. i have the fucken diagram for the ecu pinouts and yet i still can't get this ***** ****** to work. could it be that my o2 sensor is fucked up? but i have no check engine light. any ideas? please help.

i can install a Field's vtec controller and have it work fine, but i can't fucken make this gauge work. WTF!!!

Which wiring harness and ECU are you using? You maywant to check your diagrams against these. http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/techstuff.htm

It wouldn't be your O2 sensor, it would defenitely throw a code if there wasn't any voltage going to D14. Like somebody said, it should be a white or white/red wire.
