Default Air Fuel Ratio

what exactly does the "Air Fuel Ratio" from AutoMeter show? Why is it needed? Is it for turbo?

it shows how your engine is running rich or lean or just the correct way

it shows that you have proper amount of fuel in the engine
its good thing to have

It is not that accurate. It is just for an at a glance look.

A voltmeter would be a better bet. You can get affordable and accurate ones at Radio Shack that you can wire into the primary 02...

the autometer is junk, go nuy a haltech halmeter or greddy or anything else, this thing reminds of Knoght Rider, the F-bird with the red back and forth light.

The accuracy of the sensor is a function of the sensor more than the gauge. ANY gauge that uses data from the stock sensor is useless for performance applications.

get a WIDEBAND o2 sensor from places like haltec they come with a o2 sensor connected to the sensor to make a more accurate reading

i agree the autometer is not very accurate. it only shows either lean or rich but it looks good though. there is a company that can modify the autometer gauge so that it becomes accurate. the stock oxygen sensor is still the problem.

All it is is a voltmeter.
But it has saved my *** twice! Like the time the hose came off the FPR when spraying. With ZEX kit this means more extra fuel!
I saw red, therefore I aborted!
