Hey...welcome to the board.
I don't know who told you that an air filter would cost you HP, or upon what information they are basing this opinion. The only way an air filter will cost you power is if its flow rate is inferior to the filter it replaced. Most aftermarket air filters ( K & N, f'r'instance ) have much higher airflow rates than your average paper OEM filter. However, the gains made by a drop-in filter are minimal. Usually you'll get one or two horse if you're lucky. I'd save my pennies for a CAI so you can replace the twisted blob of plastic that Honda likes to call an intake.
it should be good for 5-10 HP on an otherwise stock motor, and it gets you much better throttle response to boot. HTH.

thanxxxx for da welcome man
anyways this is what i hear but yeah it seems i heard wrong
well as far as intake is considered im going to my local exoust shop so they can make a custom intake for me
so it will be all god also should i get 3 inch intake or 2.5 as i already have bought an air filter a simota one
and planing to upgrade to K&n
Depends on what you're going to do to the car. If you plan on just basic bolt-ons, 2.5 will be fine. If you plan on doing major mods ( cams, headwork, etc., etc. ) 3 inches is the way to go.
