Alright well, i was driving to work and this ******* in a dodge ram was right on my ***..so i basically gunned it in 2nd to get away and my car felt like it wasnt moving as fast as it should..i thought that was pretty strange. Anyways, once i got to work i downshifted once entering the parking lot and a LOUD screeching noise occurs..wtf! So i put it in neutral and it happens again as my car begins too slow down to a stop. The alternator belt is tight..i dont have ac or ps..what could it be?? Could it be a bad crank pulley? How bout the timing belt? Or does it have something to do with my tranny? Help please..
A bearing somewhere, maybe? It is too hard to know without hearing it, or at least having a general idea where the sound is coming from. If you can locate the area that would be better.

ill try to post up a clip of the sound somehow. my friend said it sounds like the noise is coming from the crank pulley but i dunno. anyone else with an idea of what it could be?
If your cam timing LOOKS like it's off, don't panic yet. You already suspect the crank pulley is slipping, so don't believe the marks on the pulley. Check cam timing against the mark on the timing sprocket which lines up with the mark on the oil pump.
