affects of running of worn piston rings???
i might have worned out pistons rings....what's the negatives of me running on them until i get them changed? any block damage? what about a leaking headgasket? thanks in advance
You'll get blowby resulting in an improper mixture of air and fuel which leads to incomplete combustion which over a period of time can damage components such as the head gasket, valves, spark plugs, etc. You'll also be down on power a bit.
It'll cause a good loss in power, and may eat plugs quicker, but I've heard one of the bigger things is that it will cause the oil to get contaminated from the gasses blowing into the crankcase, decreasing the longevity of the motor.

It does that too. I didn't think about it earlier because I change my oil so damn much anyways.
