Default affects of a bad wheel bearing?

does it slow the car down due to more rotational frition? how much are wheel bearing?

Here are a few: improper tire wear, misalignment, unpredicatable handling, etc...

These examples may seem extreme, but it doesn't take too much time for things to go down hill if you ignore the problem.

If you don't know how to test for play, then get a pro to look at it for you.

jack the car up and wiggle the tire from top to bottom...not side to side. See if theres free play. Wheel bearings are about 50-80 bucks and whatever it cost to get them pressed in.

They might be loud too. My right rear is so loud. I think it's the wheel bearing.
