well it may be true that this is not a REVOLUTIONARY new porduct that will change the face of cool air intakes, but i did hear that is has bigger piping, and that it outperforms the original intake. but that little amout of info isnt enough, i would like to know more about it and see some pics or atricles, so if any1 has anything on this product, please let me know and post in here!

Bump! Anyone running with the v2 AEM c/a/i?

I'm thinking about picking one up for my Eg/GSR Hybrid since I need a replacement for my incorrect c/a/i

I'll check out AEM's site and see what's the deal...

Anyone know AEM's web site address? Did a search on google and just found shops that sell the $hit

guys, its nothing more than a big pipe connected to a bigger pipe. and i laugh at anybody that spends upwards of 150 for a peice of pipe & a filter.

I just went ahead and ordered the original c/a/i by AEM for a 99-00 Si. $161 was the total. I have to replace the AEM c/a/i that I have installed now that has f**ked my splash guard up. I'm going to ebay it when I find out what car it's from. I also have an AEM c/a/i for a 96-00 Dx / LX that I need to ebay as well. I couldn't justify paying $80 right now for the version2. Maybe I'll upgrade one day, but for now I just need one that won't f**k up my new splash guard when I get one

Perhaps it has a velocity stack halfway through the piping?

Not worth it, you wouldn't feel the difference between the v2 and the standard AEM CAI.

I read a producyt review about it like 2 months ago in Turbo i think, Supposedly, the theory behind it is that, because theres two different diameter pipes it somehow changes the wave frequency or charge of the intake air or sumthin. Accordint to Turnbo they gained 5 WHP over theoriginal CAI.

i hear alot of people hating on the V2.....but when you compare it to other companies on the dyno tests....it seems to give the best gains over the whole powerband....im STILL not sure to go AEM or Injen on my 99 Si....the v2 is good...but that price isnt too good....

Wow, so it outperforms all other intakes?

Is that why they aren't making one for the ITR? Maybe because it made one extra peak HP over the CURRENT AEM intake?

there is some theory behind it, and hell yes its alof of $$ for a tube with a K&N on the end. but ALOT of that $$ is going to its CARB Excemption. that **** isnt cheap, and AEM has to make up for that expense by charging us more.
