i wanted to know if a wideband would plug and play for a stock honda ecu i was reading something about narrow band and no heater signal so i would get a cel i want to know would it work on a stock ecu and on my setup i have a crx converted to obd1 ls swap.
also i read about putting a resistor on the heather for no cel. just wanted to throw that out there.
thanks for all the help in advance and lmk.

They read at different voltages, and just how do you plan to connect it to the stock ecu?

And the wideband is supposed to do what to fix it? Nothing. You have other problems.

the ecu can only adjust parameters so much based on values it gets from sensors. if you're running so rich it's blowing black smoke, you have much bigger issues.

no, but if im not mistaken WB O2 sensors are 4 pin to the gauge cant i just plug into the engine harness instead?

i just found this thread but idk because u seem pretty sure that the wideband would not working

Hm. Notice how no one in that thread knows for sure? If you want to be the guinea pig, be my guest.

No plug and play.
Buy a factory o2 sensor.
The wideband o2 can be program to simulate the stock o2 but the factory ecu needs to be reprogram to read this.

So then it comes back to why not just replace the factory o2?
And if your losing a ton of mpg it could be other stuff also.
