Default Advantage & disadvantage of high Compression

Anyone knows the advantage and disadvantage of high Compression.

advantage you rape. Disadvantage you will have mad problems if you are running HIGH *** compression and dont do any mods for detonation. Its like a turbo you done swap a kit on you car then run 20 stock internals. The only real mods you will need for higher compression are injectors, all cooling stuff,and ignition and ususallly honda ignition will own anyways.

Advantage is usually more torque. More torque usually results in more hp.
Disadvantage, depends how radical you go. Tuning is the most important part. If the engine is tuned to run a certain octane and compressin day in and day out, you should be fine...

advantage - you'll have a higher compression engine then most
high end cars, and 95% of the cars out there. Thats if you go high

Higher compression is more forgiving of big cams in n/a applications that inherently bleed off cylinder pressure during low RPM operation. Of course, this is less of concern with nascent multi-valve cylinder heads and variable valve timing than in archaic pushrod applications
