Default Adding a bypass oil filter

Does anyone have any experience with bypass oil filters? It filters in parallel with
the normal oil filter but at a slower rate. So in theory, the regular oil filter flows as
normal while the bypass filter cleans down to 1 micron but at a slower rate. Over
time, all the oil will have passed through the bypass filter. Cleaner oil, less engine
wear, and longer oil change intervals are the claimed benefits.

I searched 'micron oil filter' in yahoo and found tons of links. A few are listed
below:
http://www.amsoil.com/products/bf.html http://www.controlmastersinc.com/ult...oil_filter.htm http://www.oilguard.com/

All of the links had nothing negative to say about the bypass-oil filter setups. But
why has this setup never been mentioned here or any of the other auto forums.
Does adding a remote oil filter lower oil pressure? Will it take too long warm up
the car due to more oil in the loop? I'm thinking about fitting the Amsoil set-up to
my car, but don't know if there are any adverse affects.
