Default Adding airbags Please Help!!!

Can anyone tell me what would be involved with/how expensive adding airbags to a car that didnt come with them from the factory? My dearest mother is convinced that an airbag is going to save my life and all of my money(which i earned working at chickfila) is in her bank account. I am trying for an eg hatch but they aint easy to come by in georgia.

Sorry if this is in the wrong area, but it says tech/MISC so im guessing this is where it should go.

I wouldnt bother.... too much wiring to do, get a short circuit or a wiring problem there, and the bag inflates when you drive, and you lose control and smash into a telephone pole and die a horrific death.

I've never needed airbags in my crashes, and if you have a head on collision with a japanese econo-box, you're gonna be dead anyways.

its alot of wiring, and alot of sensors and stuff, if you are good at electrical work i would do it, if not i would not bother, just use your seatbelt

It's very dangerous to fit air bags to a vehicle that was never designed to have them and most likely illegal.
