Default actuating the EGR while removed?

Nevermind, I did it!

Thanks anyway

car is a 2000 honda insight
I need to actuate the valve while it is removed and soaks, to better clean/lube the valve.
I need to connect pos 12v to pin 4, and neg 12v to pin 6.
I tried buying small gauge jumper wires, but autozone didnt have them.
Can I just use jumper cables, and stick a paper clip on the neg and pos to fit in the connector pins on the egr?
Are jumper cables too thick, and they would fry the egr, or am i dumb, and its the same current either way?

Thanks Everybody!
