actual weight for b16a block
hmm..... a dry B16A, no tranny, i would guess around 200-230?? i know i could almost move mine around, but me and a friend could carry it. youre probably looking for a specific weight, but thats my .02

you "weigh" it before going to the shippers.... I do it all the time. They don't want to lift it, and their scales don't usually go that high, unless they do some big packages.
no... just the block in one box and the head in another.... if you're shipping a tranny then that needs to be seperate

exactly... I can't see any reason to try to ship a whole motor as one unit.. the head and tranny are pretty easy to move, the block is a bit tougher but it's not too bad once you get it started. My UPS guy loves me... He can't get over all the **** I have coming to and from my house... I think he's going to bring his Accord here for me to work on
If the block is 100% stripped then it will weigh around 50lbs only. My B18C1 was 48lbs w/o packaging and was 54lbs on UPS' scale. Cost me $49 to ship to CA from MI w/ insured value of $500ish. Man these engines are light.
