Allright guys thanx a lot for the info and help. Over all i think most ppl are leaning towards the ACT side. I think im goin to go with the xtreme PP and get a 6 puck disc as the street disk would not be able to handle power of boost. Also i plan on boosting about 20 psi on the 2L block.
Aren't you worried about the fact that the ACT 6 puck disc has a solid hub? How bad is it having a solid hub disc for daily driving? I would be worried about breaking the tranny or the rest of the drivetrain.

Yea, there isn't too much to driving a 6 puck... It isn't as smooth as a street disk but a street disk will in no way be able to hold back 20lbs... I've actually never driven an ACT clutch with a street disk nor do i ever want to... Just my $0.02... Peace

ACT HDSS clutch and combo it with ACT Streetlite flywheel....good engagement, and good pedal feel, not a lot of effort at all.

I have heard nothing but good things about CM Stage 3. Although at this point I am leaning toward the Action 2KS Dual Diaphragm clutch kit!

I use an ACT heavy duty pressure plate and the pedal pressure is perfect, feels a little firmer than a stock honda clutch which i personally think feels way too soft. It grabs hard and never slips. Its funny when my friends drive it though cause they usually bark the tires a little the first time they let off, im used to it so it feels soft to me LOL.

If you can find a bad word about ACT on this site, please tell us where. I've done a lot of research and have heard of exactly zero failures to date.

Like 5 or 6 other people in this thread, every now and then you hear about a CM popping a hub spring. A lot of people here have had good experiences with CM's though, INCLUDING MYSELF. However, next time, it's ACT for me.

Wow thats pretty nuts, thats alot of torque capacity.

I have a HDSS ACT clutch w/ ITR flywheel. I love how smooth the engagement is, yet grabs very hard when I need it to. I was worried about pedal pressure with me having an old school cable clutch instead of hydrolic... but it really isnt bad at all. to ACT... I did the same thing and did alot of looking around about people badmouthing ACT and honestly I didnt really find any....

Customer satisfaction rate. Why take a chance on a CM hub spring popping out when I can get an ACT for the same price + a virtual 100% satisfaction guarantee.

I have installed about 8 ACT clutches in bseries swaps. They are great! long lasting and feel great. The XT pressure plate is kinda excessive but i guess if you were making a ton of torque the HD might slip..maybe. XTSS or HDSS you can't go wrong.

How long ago was it that the straps broke? We have had very little trouble with straps and rivets on our previous design. Ever since we started stamping out own clutch covers (a year ago) to make room for larger straps and rivets, as far as I know the problems have been eliminated. It wasn't a matter of quality assurance, but lack of space for beefier parts! Even then, strap failures were very rare. Maybe you are right...bad luck. Did you send it to us for a fix?
