Clutchmaster 4 VERY GOOD! I think my ACT sucks and kills the idle at night with lights on when coming to a stop unless I keep blipping the throttle....

I hate Clutchmaster, my friend has one in his GSR/EK and it ******* sucks. A lot of my other friends use ACT and I like them a lot better. I would go with an ACT 6-puck Xtreme for anything. Also Ruby Civic how does you ACT kill your idle?? I was just kinda wondering about that. Thanks

I have a centerforce dual friction cluch. I love it! It has no problem launching at high speeds and never slips. The centerforce made a huge difference in how quick my H22A shifted!

Centerforce is absolute garbage. Burned mine up in 12k miles on a SOHC! My ACT on the same engine lasted me 35k miles, and was still working fine when I sold the swap.

I have the centerforce DF in my car and I love it. I haven't had any problems with it at all. I dislike ACT from previous friends experiences but have heard good things about the Clutchmaster's from the same friends. So it's pretty much up to each person's experience. I believe unless you are runnin FI, slicks, or AWD, then pretty much any good name clutch should work fine for everyday, street/strip use.

my $.02

I have had both an ACT and a Clutchmasters. They are both great clutches and I would recommend either one.

I have two non-Hondas all mod'ed with ACT clutches. I have a very good feel for these, but never used them on a Honda myself.

I do have a friend that races his Civic NA hatchback with 200hp, and he SWEARS by ACT.

God damn, everyone likes something different. Some of us like ACT, Clutchmaster, and Centerforce others hate them. Oh well i guess that's what Acura and Honda stock clutches are for!

I have had the centerforce and the act and I would stick with the act. I'm running the Act street/race disc with a full race pressure plate and a zex flywheel. I been road racing the heck out of it and it still works. ACT

what do you consider "all out use"? if it's going to be a daily driver with some racing then I wouldn't want a full race clutch in there. check out the best buy forum. there is someone selling excedy clutches at a very reasonable price. good luck.

stock honda parts always good if you can use them but not for severe clutch usage...we replaced my ACT clutch last nite with clutchmaster 4 and i think one prob i had was that i had a c-m flywheel, so contact was funny. also the clutch plate almost worn out after 4k miles (included quite a few 8k rpm launches though)..
