Default Acl race black bearings after 2500mi

Wanted to check everything out on this motor, something just didn't feel right.

Not too sure what to make of these bearings, I will check the clearance on them once I get home but they don't look very pretty that's for sure.

A reputable local shop line bored the mains and they micro polished the crank surfaces.

all motor e85 B20v 225whp.

What do you guys think could have caused this? It has an ACL race high pressure oil pump. The crank looks fine by the way. Running Brad Penn Green Oil 10w40.

Yall think bearings too tight/too loose I don't know.....

Do the rod bearings look the same? I don't think you would be able to judge too tight/loose based on this. There is a lot of embedded material in the bearings. My first guess is dirty assembly. Cam lobes/rockers look ok?

I did not assemble this engine but the guy who did it has built many before this. Cams look pearl. Im with you on oil contamination. Looks like little tiny shavings of aluminum...

I just Plastigaged them.
Rod bearings tested spot at .001" clearance
Crank bearings all tested out at .002" clearance

Mains...

Rods...

I bought her used and i'm thinking buddy waited too long on the first oil change.... It just blows my mind that that modern cars go 10000 miles on the very first oil change! That is insanity!

You know all those surfaces that start Mill finish upon assembly.... where do you suppose that fine microscopic metal goes as they break in? Apparently right to my bearing races! Fml.

I'd say first oil change at 100 miles and 1000 miles from there on out. I'll just use the old oil for the lawn mower/ P-washer and what not.
