Default AC wiring compressor to condenser fan

I know these forums don’t get the traffic they used to but I’ll take a shot. 1999 Honda civic LX. Purchased with stock D series. AC was functioning fine. Shortly thereafter I swapped in a B series and prior to pulling I drained the refrigerant as I was going to get a new denso unit anyways along with a denso drier.

I noticed that the AC compressor single wire plug was getting power back fed from the AC condenser Fan wire which was spliced. I removed this wire and I installed the new compressor , drier and got the refrigerant filled by a trusted mechanic who confirmed that the AC was not engaging. I tried jumping the pressure switch to confirm this was not the issue, but it was still not working. I then brought the car to an electromechanic who ran a few quick tests and confirmed that there was a break in the wiring somewhere and I would have to bring the car back when he had time and could properly trace down the wire break.

in the meantime, I hooked the AC compressor power wire back up getting fed by the AC condenser fan. The AC is working properly and cycles on and off as it seems it should( my concern doing this is that maybe the compressor would be getting power all the time and overhear or something).

can I leave it like this, it seems like the condenser fan is told to cycle on and off at the same time as the compressor ? Thanks in advance
