ac not working
ac is charged with r134, when i turn the ac on the fan turns on but compressor does not. i have jumped the compressor and it kick on but only if i jump it.(I jump it running a wire from the + on the battery to the compressor wire.)
I have no clue what this could be at this point so all help would be great.

Re: ac not working
If you unplug the pressure switch on the receiver/dryer and then BRIEFLY ground the Blu/Red wire terminal in the free connector, does the compressor clutch now engage? This test is done with the engine running and the A/C button and blower turned on.

Re: ac not working
ok i tried grounding the blue/red wire quickly and the compressor clutch did not engage.
i know that the compressor clutch works cuz jumping it straight from the + terminal on the battery it engaged.

Re: ac not working
When you turn the A/C on with the engine idling, does the idle speed increase even though the clutch does not engage? What voltage do you measure at the Blu/Red wire with the pressure switch unplugged, engine idling, and A/C off?
Unplug ECU connector A and then turn the key to ON(II). Do you measure battery voltage at terminal A17 of the ECU connector? If you ground A17 in the connector, do you hear the clutch engage (click)?

Re: ac not working
Getting in here just because this feels like deja vu.
Ron is awesome. Ignore any other replies in here. He'll get you straightened out.
BTW Ron, got a new ECU and everything is working great in my EM1 now. Thanks.
streetrider, did you check the 20A fuse in the under hood fuse box? Can you hear the clutch relay click when you hit the AC button? Does the condenser fan come on?
I'll let Ron take over.

Re: ac not working
ok guys, I want to thank all of u for the help but i found the problem.
It was the relay under the hood fuse box, or might just be some bad wiring under there too, but again thank u
