able to bypass o2 sensor?????????
i was wondering if there was anyway to bypass the o2 sensor in the cat. for a 94 b18c1 so that the check engine light doesnt come on????? is this harmful to the engine or ecu in anway, or is it ok to do???????
Why do you want to bypass the o2 sensor? You can bypass the o2 sesor, but I wouldn't do it. The purpose of the o2 sensor is to measure the amount of air in the exhaust, it then sends a signal back to the computer to either lean out the fuel mixture or enrichen it. Now if you are talking about the secondary o2 sensor, then by all means, bypass the sensor. I built an o2 simulator to trick the computer into thinking that I still had my cat on, i am using a test pipe on my car
yeah, sorry, i meant the secondary o2 sensor that sits in the cat, i knew the purpose of the one actually in the headers...... how can i bypass the 2nd one???
When my friend races his EK open header we just plug in the secondary O2 and cable tie it up... The secondary O2 has no effect on the cars a/f so don't even worry about it.

I'm using a test pipe which eliminates the catalytic. I made an o2 sensor simulator to trick the computer into thinking that the cat was working, this way the check engine light stays off
Nice. I've seen designs for those, would you care to share yours? I went with an OBDI conversion, but mostly because I think I could benefit from a custom ECU program. I think I'll run an OBDII compatible cat, but use the secondary bung for a wideband O2 sensor.
well i was wondering about this as well i have a 99 cx and i don't have my 2nd o2 sensor and am throwing a code for it can i use the o2 simulator as a replacement for the o2 sensor with out physically having the 2nd o2 sensor? and can u give me/us a how to on how to make the o2 eliminator?
