99 EK charging issue...
Okay, here's the deal... I have a 99 civic EX, b18b1, still obd2a...
I was driving the other day and the damn thing started cutting out on me. I pulled over, tested the battery, 7.35 volts... okay, alternator's going out I assume. I get it home, go get another used alternator that I was told worked perfectly... I get it, notice the B post has been cut off. I take my alternator off, open the case, switch out the posts... Jump the car, it runs, GREAT.... not for ****ing long... i watch the voltmeter as I pull the jumper cables off, and watch it fall... Went from 14.3 to 11.0 then to 7.3 then down to 6.42 and dead... I take my old alternator to oreallys and it tests good... I'm just trying to figure out if switching the posts from alternators could be my problem, or if I'm ****ed somewhere else... Any input would be nice...
You can even text me... 816 617 6545... needin to get this thing back up and running so I can go to my job interview on thursday...
