I'm getting code P1361 manufacturer control ignition system misfire. This only happens when you first start the car and consistantly under erradic throtle movement when the engine is cold. I can clear the code after the engine warms up and the car runs great untill the next morning when it will do it all over again. Any help? Because my service manual is missing those trobleshooting procedures. 3.0 engine,changed plugs, plug wires, dist. cap.

 

How many miles?

I've seen a lot of the J30's have too tight of exhaust valve clearance, causing a misfire.

Could be an EGR issue, but wouldn't throw the code in neutral...

 

car has 134,000 miles. the odd thing is it only does it when you first start the car when its cold.
