Default 98 honda civic

I am going to do my best to explain my situation. I have a 98 honda civic auto , I drive 45 miles one way to work every night I have recently been experencing my car lose complete power while driving. The first two times I had been slowing down to turn and the third time I was slowing down to stop at a light and lost all power to the engine. My lights and radio still work. I have to try and start the car for about 2 minutes and then it will start again. While I am trying to start the car it turns over like it wants to start but it wont turn over for approximatly 2-4 minutes. There is no check engine light that comes on before it happens so I have no codes to read. I did take it to a mechanic to see if it threw a code and there was no codes at all.

Most common intermittent loss of engine, [running] is the PGM-FI Main Relay...
http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html

Next most common is the coil, heat will cause it to fail, once cooled down it will work again.

Next is connection problems, [loose] to/from the coil and ICM.

And last but not least, [should be the first thing you do] as with any suspected electrical issue, is grounding, check/redo your main grounds, [batt. to chassis, chassis to engine, VC to rad support and thermostat housing ground(s)] DO NOT just eyeball the connections, disconnect/clean/reconnect. 94

Does it stumble before dying out,or does it simply die?
