well first of all you must understand that the 99-00 body parts are more expensive than the 96-98 parts (especially headlights ive noticed). having said that, i think the ek9 front end kicks ***! also, i think quite a few guys on here have also done this conversion without any problems.
ive got a 97 civic hatch and just received all of front end stuff this weekend. today i got the last of it, the headlights. i just came in from test fitting them and they look like theyre going to match up just fine without any cutting (or bashing). you've gotta make sure to get the whole front end exterior for the 99-00 though, ie. fenders, hood, bumper, grill, and headlights. unless you got a junkyard around with 99-00 civics, i'd order through ebay. if you're looking for a good online business try http://www.jhpusa.com cuz they've got it all.
i hvaent checked yet, but i think its the same amount of bolts and everything too tho im not 100% sure cuz when i bought my car it didnt have a front end period
well, hope this helps but lemme know if you need more of an explanation on anything

yeah man, thats a pretty good find! remember for the front end it doesnt matter if its 2,3, or 4 door - they all fit the same.
glad i could help.
