alright, so i start my car and as the engine quickly revs down to the idling speed, a noise comes from underneath my car. it sounds like pans tapping each other. it also occurs as I engage the clutch below 1500 rpm. however there isn't any abnormal engine vibration.

is anyone familiar with this case?

i have a feeling it could be my clutch or something in that area, i think i'll be due for a new clutch by halloween or thanksgiving..

 

could be your clutch, have you gotten under it and checked for things that could be loose?

 

just did that now, i was banging my cat conv., and it sounded like the same sound. so i had my brother start the car when i was underneath it and the exhaust pipes moved& shook enough to rattle the cat to make the sound.

is it time for a new cat or test pipe?
