Default 97 civic gsr

ok i have a civic with a GSR motor in it and the rev cuts out at like 2500-3500 its not the injectors i dont think i power tested them and they all remained with power while it was cutting out so i would guess at it being a spark problem i rewired the plugs from my OBD1 Distributor to the wiring on the civic chassis and so that it had 2 plugs instead of one, the wierd part about it is that i can rev the car if i rev it as soon as it starts but once it runs for more than like 4 seconds it will cut out like its in safe mode or something any help is greatley appreciated thank you for looking
