Default 96 d16y7 overheating

my motor is over heating, not sure why, i have coolant in the radiator, but it still over heats when i'm sitting still, or when i have my heat on, i think it could be the headgasket, not sure though, but i also have a problem with where the dipstick goes the whole thing came out, not sure what to do to fix that, if it's even able to be fixed.. anyone have any ideas let me know..

over heating... check ur radiator fans if their coming on... pressure test the whole coolant system and make sure u dont have any leaks... check or replace the thermostat its only like 5 bucks....incorrect ignition timing wil also cause overheating.. check ur coolant for any oil mixed in with it... or ur oil for any coolant mixed in it.. or if ur oil looks like chocolate milk..if so. headgasket. make sure u dont have any codes (check engine light) its alot of things that can cause it to overheat. make sure ur fans are coming on first.
