Default 96 civic random bogging

I have a stock 96 civic auto as my daily driver for the last fee months it has developed a reason bogging concern. When cruising bellow 3000 rpm it will start to bog like it's running outa fuel. If u boot it it clears up and all Is fine. Fuel pressure is good new filter plugs cap rotor wires new. It's so random it will be fine for days the then come back. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Gonna check o2s and map Tomorow

Brian

It wont be the map sensor unless it throws a code. Check for any and all stored codes first.

Replace the upstream oxygen sensor with a Denso.

The oxygen sensor only is used at idle up to light throttle. Its possible your oxygen sensor is fouled.

Not saying its going to fix your issues but its definitely possible.

I would check for an exhaust leak using seafoam anywhere from the exhaust manifold to the oxygen sensor first.

had a similar issue a few months ago, was barely noticeable and got worse over a couple months. Had to replace an intake valve with a nice chunk burned out of it. Compression test and then go from there. I found out really quick due to zero compression in cylinder 3. Good luck!

Thanks but a burt intake valve would create a noticeable miss. This is not like that completely random

Had the same problem. But now it also stalls. The car is practically worthless.

My suspicions: Faulty ignition switch wiring, or fuel delivery issue. (pump/filter/injectors) etc.

Let me know if you solve this!
