Hey guys, I am new here. My name is Marc and I live in Tampa Bay. I just bought a 94 LS 5 speed and noticed a hesitation in the accelaration when I keep the gas steady, let's say in second gear and at about 4000RPM. I thought it was plugs and wires, so I changed them. Well the plugs were BLACK and the wires were bad. I changed them out and I noticed a huge difference in the acceleration and the idling of the car. But I still feel a touch of hesitation when I hold the gas at 4000RPM in second gear still. It's not that noticeable at all, but I am a perfectionist and I am going turbo with it, so I want to make SURE everything is perfect before I put the turbo in there. Has anyone experienced this with their Tegs? I am going to try to spray the Throttle body cleaner in there to see if that makes a difference but any input would be greatly appreciated.

Have you done a valve adjusment? This is what I would do before anything else. I bet it will make a big difference.

Maybe your car isn't getting enough fuel.. How many miles do you have on it?? If a lot, I would probably change the fuel filter, since it does need to be changed. I'm planning on changing mine in a few days also..

 

More than likely its the O2 sensor. I can almost gaurantee it.

 

mine studders like mad sometimes, getting my new o2 on tuesday, hopefully that will fix it. ive got a 94 b18b too.
