Default 93 YS1 Transmission

Is this transmission (YS1) that came out of an Ls good to race with even if I put a Quaife LSD in it?

I wouldn't use an Ls tranny to race in unless your running huge boost. Get a b16 tranny much better I had the same problem I bought an LS tranny cause it was easy to find but I hated it and got a b16.

Actually I was just comparing the specs and noticed that the ys1 ls gearing isn't as bad as mine so I couldn't tell you what to do since its alot close to the b16 gearing.

Just a heads up.
ALL 92-'93 Integra trannys are labled "YS1"
RS/LS/GS AND GS-R, but the ratios in the GS-R are close for the VTEC.
Be careful when buying a USDM "YS1"

I highly recomen the ys1 tranny the gears are great. I ran 14.5 in my crx with a bone stock 92 ls swap. I ran 12.1 on 9 lbs untuned. I had to shift into 5th gear in the 1/4 mile trapping only 113.
