ok, i just boguht 1993 Integra ls
it has the B16a (JDM) with the A1 tranny
my vtec will not engage because i need a ecu, because the ls ecu is useless
i've heard that the p28 is the correct one, but isn't the p28 for a sohc? i have a Dohc and my friends have told me that i need the p30 which is for my engine...

what else will i need to buy?

plz, help if you can

ick..you have an LS (A1) tranny on a B16, eh? notta fun setup.

People use P28 ecu's all the time on their B-series VTEC engines, the thing is, they're reprogrammed for DOHC VTEC use. You can technically run a stock P28 on a B16, but its lacking in fuel & timing map department (runs a bit too lean for a B-series engine), hence the reason for reprogramming it.

A P30 is a stock B16A ecu, specifically programmed for a B16 engine. It's possible to P28 reprogrammed with a P30's program (w/disabled knock sensor). Hit me up if you need this service; I reprogram ecu's (see sig link).
