Some friends and myself took apart a 92 CX motor to replace a blown headgasket and we found that the pistons have 4 valve reliefs each, but there are only 2 valves per piston in the head!!!! I had no idea that the motor was 8 valve, guess I just never cared to research the CX motor. Are the blocks identical, and the 16 valve 1.5 liter motors simply CX blocks & pistons with 16 valves?
