91 da auto to manual conversion, mount question
the car is an auto
and i am about to buy a trans to convert it and i was wondering what motor mount to use, should i use the stock (manual) motormount from a junkyard da?i heard you have to move the pocket mount on the car (cut and weld) but i dont know if i believe that, the trans is a 1990 jdm b16 j1 trans from a front clip of a civic and it is cable, im just wondering if i have to get an after market motor mount...
any thing you know that would help me acomplish this easier would be appreciated

its been a while since i did that swap on my cousins DB. I think i used the manual tranny mount. What i remember is i used washers in between the mount and the tranny to make it sit in properly. Without the washers it looked very lopsided.
you have to shim the manual mount up 1 inch, what i did was went to napa and got 3 one in think larger inner diameter grade 8 nuts and i got 3 1 inch longer bolts for the tranny mount and put them in and went drivinv. i had that running and no problems with it. BTW you do need the manual mount.
