Default 91 civic engine swap

91 civic base model 1500cc with a 4speed trans I have a motor and trans from a 91 civic dx with a five speed what changes have to be done to put five speed in and is it worth it. Shifter ?? Will my clutch cable fit , my axles?? Thanks

Unbolt old motor/tranny, drop in the DX motor/tranny. Use your old STD engine wiring harness and axles/clutch cable/etc.

Also swap the ECU.

I just did this not long ago. I bought a STD HB 4 speed with blown motor for $60 and a wreck DX HB for $200.

I do not have the ecu from the dx , is it a must or can I use the one I have???

STD motor will run lean without the DX ECU. Should be able to get one for $25-40 easy.
