Default 89 CRX Si Clutch + Engine Rumming?

I just got my 89 crx si back. When im shifting it into gears, it kicks in wayy too fast, and i doubt i'll pass inspection with it. Now to fix it, do I adjust the "Adjusting Nut" where the clutch cable goes into the ignition, so that its tighter?

Heres the diagram of what im talking about. http://www.binghamtonlife.com/...4.jpg

Also I my engine. I have a B16a engine swap put in before I bought the car. Right now when the engine is idleing in neutral, it rums up and down constantly. Does anyone know how to fix this?

u gotta turn the adjuster at the tranny end of the cable not inside the cabin, in your case u gotta loosen it up.

I turn the little adjusting bolt where the cable meets the tranny right? I losen it a bit, and that should stop it from kicking in and jumping 10 feet hwen im trying to put it in first gear or reverse >.<
