Default 87 accord flooding

I drive an 87 honda accord lx-i. It is fuel injected and when I try to start it 8 out 10 times it floods instantly. To get it to start I have to pull the wires going to injectors and start it let fuel burn off and then hook it all back up and sometimes I have to do this 5 or 6 times then let the idle level out or it will just flood again. Car being so old it does not have a place to plug computer in so all I have is a flash code and that is only showing up once every few weeks and the flash code says bad coolent temp sensor. Could the temp sensor be causing all my problems or is there any thoughts as to what I can do to fix this?

Yes. The coolant temperature sensor tells the car when it's cold and needs more or less fuel.

Test across the pins when the engine is completely and totally cold. It should read over 2000 ohms.
