ok so i just put my sleeved gsr motor together and i put in a b20 84mm head gasket and i totally spaced it, i forgot to look to see if it had the hole in the head gasket so oil could flow up into the head and supply oil to the vtec part of the motor? Does anyone know if these head gaskets have the hole in them? And if not do i need to tear my whole motor down again and drill one or can i just use a sandwich plate adapter and run the supply to the head that way? please let me know asap i really wanna get the motor goin in the next couple days. Thanx in advance
you can not use a b20 gasket on a gsr not only does it not have the vtec oil feed hole it don't have gasket ware the hole is for you to drill even if you wanted to. you are also blocking off coolant and oil returns to the block so yes you do 100% need to take your head back off and Chang the gasket. you need to get a vtec gasket i suggest nothing but OEM and we do stock OEM gsr gaskets in bore sizes from 81mm up to 87mm you do not have to buy the gasket from us but you do need to get a vtec gasket in 84mm bore ether way
