Default 83 accord won't start

about a week ago my accord died on me it will crank but not start. We ruled out it being a fuel issue and it was getting spark but a weak spark. I went with the least expensive option first and changed the distributor cap and rotor. I changed the rotor first because they had to order the cap, it started as soon as I changed the rotor but I changed the cap anyways when it came in since the contacts weren't in the greatest shape on the old one. So that is all done this past Sunday drove fine Sunday evening and Monday morning on the way to work. Left work Monday it fired right up had to stop at a store on the way home and when I left it wouldn't start. I made sure none of the plug wires came loose everything there was fine, tried to jump it just in case the battery was weak still nothing. I spoke to a mechanic friend of mine, he said it could be the ignition coil so I changed that still nothing. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

try something simple- wire brush all the grounds to ensure a good ground and check the fuses
