60,000 mile maintenance?
i bought my integra when it had about 58k miles. its at about 65k now. how can i tell if the car had its 60k mile servicing or not? the mainenance light began to come on a few days ago, if thats of any relevance.
If it hasnt had its 60k maintenance, what kind of parts must be changed?
TIA.

the maintenence light comes on every 3000 miles. just reach under your dash under your steering column and to the right you will find a little black button. turn you power on and hold the buttom for a little bit till the light goes off. as far as the 60,000 mile maintence look in your owners manual,it will give you a complete rundown of maintence scheduling. did the person you bought the car from give you the maintence history when you bought it?
Thats funny, because the light has never come on before and ive driven it for about 7-8k miles.
nope didnt get any maintenance history. bought it from a dumbass dealership.

Honda recommends changing the oil/filter every 7500 miles for normal (not raced or extreme weather) driving conditions, so the service light is set to come on every 7500 miles. 99% of the time at non-dealership service stations, they forget to reset it, so it comes on at some random point and doesn't signify anything.
I seriously doubt the car had a 60k service. If they didn't say anything, then assume they didn't do it. I don't remember the 60k service stuff, but it isn't anything really major or expensive. The 90k service is the nastiest one...new timing belt and water pump.
