4wd civic???
why hasnt anyone ever tried this not to sound stupid
the crv has 4wd does it not so b20 vtec with crv transfer case and rear
custom rear suspension custom driveshafts maybe a fuel cell instead of the tank
might also need to widen exhaust channel strait back
$$$$ but i see this as somewhat possible

The 88-91 civic wagons came with in an optional 4wd. It was the d16a6. Yes, the same engine in the si of that gen in the u.s. If you got the manual it was a 6 speed. The auto was a 4speed + O.D. electronically controlled. They are fun to drive. Especially on wet roads. Not much in the power and butt dyno. The 4wd system eats up quite a bit of power. But if you put on a turbo it should be a fun cheap drive around town economical 5 door that weighs 2600lbs that did the slalom faster then the 4 doors and 3 doors and the 4 door is actually longer than the wagon. In other words, Don't Dis the wagon.

CRV AWD system is a 90/10 split, not worth the weight penalty IMO. If you can figure out how to get a 50/50 or 60/40 distribution then go for it. Also you are talking about totally custom rear axles. go look at 4WD CRV rear axles, they look like toothpicks.
the older civic 4WD transfer case is too weak to support much power. somebody (don't ask, I have no idea who at this point) built a drag version and had a lot of problems with exploding transfer cases, and eventually gave up on it.

UHhhh, you have too much spent on it to sell it for a Talon - but yet you want to go spend $10,000 more to make it have a weak as crap AWD system? Explain that logic to me?
