Default 3rd Gear Grind

Man This Sucks...Ok...I Just Did my swap...and it happens to have a third gear grind when it is at RPM's higher than 3000...I was wondering what is the best approach to this...Thanks...

I got the same problem in my EG hatch with b18c1 swap! Sounds like synchro :thumpdown:

i have a b18b swap in my eg hatch and it only does it every once and awhile. but if its ur synchros id save for a new tranny and just sell that one. or have it rebuilt if you think its worth it.

before you do anything...try to use some of those gm syncromesh fluid. They stop minor grinding

well, i have already tried the Gm synchomesh and i have tried stuff you get at autozone and blah blah blah...that totals up to about 3 tranny fluid flushes..LoL...but just to say it didn't work for me...can't i just change out the synchos?

Go ahead, change the synchros. Gotta yank the tranny out.... (gotta drop the side of the motor out.. not easy =/

where do you get that gm synchro fluid stuff? btw how would i use that in my tranny? drain the old fluid? how would i do that?

Not only that but I'm pretty sure a dealership wont sell you just the synchros, they only sell the whole gear/shaft assembly.
