240cc maxed?..bad mpg??
hey im just wondering im about to put in my 450's in the next couple of days but im just wondering cause right now get around maybe 16-18mpg with about 6psi is that because the stock injectors are maxed? when i put in the 450's should i get at least a little better mpg when its set right with safc2?
not really worried about the engine so much as the gas... im in process of building up a d motor so not really wanting to spend money to tune for 220 when im gonna have to do it again, do you no once i put in the 450's would that be little better mpg? is my gas bad because my stock 240 are maxed? i already have a safc2 but havent put in my 450's yet, just using it with stock 240's right now
its a d16y7 non vtec from 98 civic had under 100,000 miles 92 honda civic hb with wrx turbo custom mani
i wanted see what people said, because i was wondering since im already getting bad mpg when i put my 450's in will it be even more worst? but someone said it shouldnt be any worst cause the stock 240's are maxed out so just wondering..

what kind of mpg is everyone getting with 450's installed? cause right now i have stock 240's and getting around 17-19 mpg is that because the stock injectors are at there limit? or you think that there is a bad injector? or grounded out?
pulsewidth is what changes AF on a given engine and injector.
If you put your 440's as is youll have a lot worse mpg and youll run lots richer.
if you tune down injector open time outcome will be the same, mpg should be the same.

so if i put 450's in and adjust with safc2 you think my gas mileage should be the same? i was reading some threads and people were saying that if the injectors were bad or grounded out they would be pouring fuel non stop which would be bad mpg... and since there at there peak, once i put the 450's in and they have room, i was just wondering if that be at least lil better in mpg

not really to sure, i no i should be having the 450's in asap but i have had the 240's in and wouldnt really let me boost so i chaged them with another set of stock 240's just messing around and they seem work better so maybe one them bad? and pushing fuel out all time? just the only bad thing is gas mpg 16-19 is kinda bad with stock injectors... lol i no i need the 450's but hoping it doesnt lower my mpg even worst.
