Default 2006 Si Engine Bay

I been looking at pics of the 2006 Civic Si engine bay... I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but the engine bay is sooo crammed ! I wonder if you can do any aftermarket work on this thing i.e turbo. I saw pics fromt he sema show I think they we're turbocharged I saw the intercoolers but I don't know how they fit take a look at how crammed this is ...

Yea, spacewise, the new civic design sucks. If you need to work on the exhaust side you need to remove the cowl to get back there. The intake side just speaks for itself. They've really crammed those motors in there. The R18's arent so bad.

The new dx model civics dont come with a/c or a radio, so we've been doing a buncha those installing a/c and radio's. They're pretty straight forward and I've done it w/o removing the cowl. With these new k20z3's its too cramped.

one thing i noticed the other night looking at a kids new si is that they have a sensor on the intake. now ive known honda has used map sensor before the birth of christ but did they convert to MAF? i also noticed what looked like a normal honda style map sensor so are they running both? if so why? maximum fuel efficiency? just seems like a PITA setup to tune
