Default 2006 Cr-V cluster swap conversion

Hi there,

So I recently bought an 06 cr-v that was imported from the states. I live in Canada where we are under the metric system so KMS and celcius and not miles and farenheit. I tried to doing TONS of searches on multiple forums but haven't been able to find an answer yet. My v is under imperial u.s. system displaying MPH and miles on my odometer.

My question is if I swap out a canadian cluster into my v, will I need to have the speedo calibrated or are pulse signals modified by the cluster itself to display correct speeds? Also my odometer is in miles. I plan to buy a cluster close enough in mileage that I'd have to drive my vehicle for a couple months to have it almost exact before the swap. Will my odometer swap that I will have in equivalent mileage start reading in kms or will it still read in miles? I'm fairly sure the temp sensor will still read in farenheit as that's something to do with the ecu I believe but I want to make sure that if I get the equivalent in kms that it won't start counting in miles after.

Anyone with cluster swap experience want to chime in?
